Cutting the cords will be necessary throughout your sessions. Whether it is used in childhood regression, past life regression, or with the clean-out, trust me — this is very powerful. It is especially powerful for people who have been divorced. Cutting the cords is very healing for all involved, and it can be done with a deceased person or with someone who is still alive. In both cases, your client will be talking to the other person's soul.
Invisible ethereal cords develop over time between two people. These cords are energetic ties to each other. They are what let a mother know when her child is in danger. They are also what need to be cut in order to grow and move on.
These cords are never cords of love. They are cords of negative emotion, and each cord represents a defined negative emotion. It is important to explain how cords work before you begin to have your client cut them. Cutting a cord doesn't mean the person will leave your client's life; it just means there will no longer be negative emotions attached to them. You can't cut love. You wouldn't want to anyway. Love is love. Cords are a different thing.
When you meet someone, a cord is formed — think of it as a thin string. Over time, when negative emotions come up, the string gets thicker. Other cords begin to grow as well. It is very important for both sides to cut these cords. It is an agreement to basically "let it go" and release each other from the karma that has built up. Karma is simply an even exchange of energy — you hurt me, I hurt you, and we both grow from the experience because we both have learned how it feels to hurt and be hurt. Cutting the cord negates the karma the two of you created together.
Before you cut anything, clear the air. Once your client is speaking with the person they have had an issue with, ask them to stand directly in front of that person. Then invite them to say everything they have always wanted to say but were either too afraid or unable to say at the time. "Tell them everything in your mind and heart. You may yell or scream at them if you wish. Just get it out. Say it all." When they are done, ask if the other person has anything to say to your client. Usually the other party will explain why they did what they did and apologize. This is what your client needs to hear.
Now name the cords. Say: "I want you to now see the cords of negative emotions that you have been holding onto. Each cord has its own negative emotion. There are no cords for love, and we wouldn't cut them anyway. Also, this doesn't cut them out of your life, but it will make you feel better." Then ask, "How many cords between you do you see?" And for each one: "What does the first (second, third, etc.) cord represent?"
You are listening for a negative emotion here — anger, fear, disappointment, betrayal, hatred, resentment, emotional pain and suffering, physical pain, disloyalty, guilt, rejection, abandonment, regret, insecurity, feeling trapped or stuck, manipulation, trauma, burden, blame, frustration, not being good enough. The list is endless.
Once a cord's emotion is named, have the conversation about that specific emotion before moving to the next. What would your client like to say to their father about feeling abandoned? Why did the father abandon his son? What would his father like to say to his son now? Work through every cord this way.
When all the emotions have been spoken and heard, it's time to cut. Say: "Now it is time to cut the cords and release all these negative emotions you have been holding onto that you have been attracting into your life. Are you ready to cut the cords? Good. On the count of three, you will cut the cords and hold the ends up into the light and watch the fireworks show. Watch all your emotions release into the universe. Surrender them to the higher power/God." Then: "1, 2, 3 — cut the cords and hold the ends up into the light." Pause.
They can cut the cord any way they wish — scissors, a sword, their hands. Each cord they cut makes them feel lighter and lighter as they lift the heaviness of the negative emotion that has been keeping them down for so long.
Then hold the ends up. Ask: "What does the fireworks show look like? Do you see what you have been holding onto? Doesn't it feel wonderful and lighter to release them?" Have them describe it. Say: "Good. Now, when the fireworks show ends, the cords will dissipate. Take a deep breath and blow it out of your mouth and feel lighter. How does that feel?"
That release is the moment the karma between them is negated for both sides. Your client walks out lighter. The other soul is released too. Now you're ready to send the loved one home into the light.
Practice
Choose one person your client is likely to bring up — an ex, a parent, a sibling. Write the full script you would use with them: the invitation to clear the air, the exact wording to name each cord, the cutting count, and the fireworks-show close. Read it out loud until it flows without notes.
