Almost every client has some sort of fear. When darkness represents fear, immediately ask, "Fear of what?" And then, "Where did this fear originate from?" You are looking to see if it started in this lifetime or a past lifetime. There is also the possibility of the fear starting in the womb and being their mother's fear passed down.
Ask the darkness to take your client to the significant event that caused the fear.
If it is in this lifetime, have your client describe the situation and what they are experiencing. It may be a roller coaster, standing on a stage, in a hospital, at an accident, being lost, or being left alone — there are hundreds of reasons why people experience fear. Have your client go into the fear. Feel it as deeply as possible. Bring it up as if it is happening right now. They are in the moment.
Tell your client to feel it so deeply, and it will naturally subside. Watch their facial expression and their breathing, and you will know when it has subsided. Then have the adult client go in and comfort the little self.
Imagine the scene without the fear. An example would be riding the roller coaster with younger self, but this time having so much fun doing it. Do this over and over again, being happier each time — at least three times. You can then cut the cords to the scene.
If the fear is from another lifetime, read about past life regression and then follow the above recommendation.
Pain — When the darkness represents pain, it may be from an old injury, illness, or dis-ease. Most times the darkness wants to tell your client something and then it will leave. Once the darkness leaves, the client is no longer in pain.
Sometimes the pain is from another lifetime — this will be covered under Past Life Regression a little further on. Pain can also be a form of a life lesson one wanted to experience. It could be that one experiences pain to avoid living life fully, or as a karma payback to someone else.

Write the six-step fear protocol on a single index card in your own words. Keep it next to your chair.
