When to Use This
Use this immediately after cutting the cords with a person who has been dominating your client's thoughts. It tells the subconscious mind that this person is no longer significant, so they stop taking up space in your client's daily life.
The Script
1. "Now that you’ve cut the cords, it’s time to shrink them down, because right now they are taking up far too much real estate in your head."
2. "So shrink the person down. Smaller… and smaller… until they are insignificant. Tell me when you have them small."
3. Ask: "What did you shrink them down to?" Let them tell you — an inch tall, a bug, a speck, a cartoon.
4. "This way your subconscious mind will always see this person as insignificant from this point forward. Even if you are only thinking about them, your mind will see them exactly this small."
5. "Now make their voice sound funny — like a cartoon character. Let me hear you laugh at it. This way, anything they said to you in the past, or anything they may say to you in the future, is also insignificant, and it makes you laugh."
6. Ask: "Say something they used to say to you, in that funny little voice. How does it land now?"
7. "Good job. Take a deep breath in, and blow it out. They have no hold on you. Let them drift away."
Practitioner Notes
Only use this after the cords have been cut — shrinking someone your client is still tied to gives them a laugh but not the release. This is a tool they can use on their own any time that person comes back into their thoughts.
