Module 8 · Soul's Growth & Past Life Regression

Past Life Regression — When and How to Go There

35 min

The belief-system check, the situations that call for a past life, the bridge, and the verbal directive that lands the client where the soul needs them.

Past Life Regression begins with the belief that we all have a soul and that our soul experiences many lifetimes. Each lifetime consists of the lessons our higher self wanted to experience. Before we enter back into another life, there are many choices the soul needs to make — what lessons or experiences to learn, what this life's purpose is, and what karma from earlier lifetimes needs to be worked out.

The process then allows them to choose the people they feel will help them with their life's purpose. Souls come around in soul groups. Each lifetime the soul group gets larger and larger, which leads to more karma as well. We may choose souls to be loving or mean to us. Think of a play — everyone has a part in it. Then, after the show ends, you all go out and celebrate together. It is like a grand reunion.

The beautiful part of doing Past Life Regression sessions is that the client can see for themselves the reason for the situation or the lesson of the experience they just encountered. They begin to see things from a higher perspective — God's perspective. Since God has given us free will, He cannot interfere in our lives IF it is part of our soul's purpose. The free will began when we were choosing our soul's purpose and the experiences our soul wanted to have.

Before I begin a session, I need to know if my client believes s/he has a soul and that the soul has many lifetimes. This is a question on my intake form. I am very careful not to discuss past life regression until I know my client's belief system. If my client does not believe in past lives, I won't bring them there. Also, interestingly, the darkness doesn't either, which is helpful.

If my client requests a past life experience, or they indicated on my intake form that they believe in past lives, I give them a heads up on what to expect. I explain that they may suddenly find themselves in another place and time they don't remember ever being in. They may be male, female, young, old, a different nationality, in a different place and time. They may be rich, poor, or a slave — on a horse fighting for a king, a little girl in pigtails wearing wooden shoes in Switzerland, or fighting a tiger as an Indian.

There are specific times I like to go into a past life regression. When a client has a relationship issue with someone they feel a close connection with, someone who is their nemesis, or any kind of odd relationship issue. Another reason is an unexplained fear or specific pain which causes my client much angst. There may be a feeling of a connection with a certain place, or a particular time in history, such as the Civil War or colonial times. I ask my client if any of these apply.

One of the hardest past lifetimes to encounter is during the Holocaust. Many clients who are overweight regress to a time when they were starving and died in the Holocaust. It is heart-wrenching, to say the least. When this occurs, I move them through it very quickly, as the important takeaway is they died from starvation — and now they need to realize that was a different life, and they do not have to endure starvation in this one.

Taking someone into a past life requires a bridge of some sort. You could have them imagine an actual bridge, floating on a cloud, going through a door that suddenly appears, a hallway with many doors and one that lights up, an elevator, an escalator, a tunnel, a time machine, or even a magic garden with a gate. Any kind of unique passage will work.

As they are progressing through the passageway, give a verbal directive to move them to the lifetime that will be for their highest and best. "Move to the lifetime that is directly related to the concern or issue you are having in this life," or "…the lifetime that is responsible for the issue you are having today."

Practice

Rehearse three different bridges out loud — a doorway, an elevator, a tunnel — with the verbal directive to the highest and best lifetime.
