This Privacy Policy explains how Susan Lawrence and GetJoyful.com ("we," "us," "our") handle information collected through divinehealingcourse.com and the Divine Healing Hypnotherapy Certification course (the "Course").
1. Information We Collect
- Account information — your name, email address, and password (stored encrypted) when you create an account.
- Purchase information — billing details and payment confirmations. Card numbers are processed by Stripe and are never stored on our servers.
- Course activity — lessons viewed, progress, quiz results, private lesson notes, submitted case studies, and community posts.
- Email list — your email address if you subscribe for updates or free resources.
- Technical data — basic log and device information generated when you use the site.
2. How We Use It
- To give you access to the Course and track your progress toward certification.
- To send transactional emails: enrollment confirmations, password resets, case-study feedback, and course announcements.
- To review and respond to case studies and assessment submissions.
- To process payments and issue refunds under our Refund Policy.
- To maintain security, prevent credential sharing, and protect course content.
We do not sell or rent your personal information.
3. Service Providers
We rely on a small number of providers to operate the Course: Stripe (payments), our hosting and database provider (accounts, course data), and our email delivery provider (transactional and list email). These providers process your information only to perform services for us.
4. Confidentiality of Case Studies
Case studies you submit are read by Susan Lawrence for assessment purposes only. You must anonymize your clients — use initials or a pseudonym and remove identifying details. Do not submit third-party medical records or other sensitive personal data about your clients.
5. Email Preferences
Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time. Essential account and enrollment emails are still sent while your account is active.
6. Data Retention
We keep your account, progress, and certification records for as long as your account exists, so your certificate remains verifiable. Payment records are retained as required for tax and accounting purposes.
7. Your Choices
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing susan@getjoyful.com. Deleting your account also removes your Course access and any certificate verification record.
8. Security
Access to your data is protected by authentication and row-level access controls, and traffic to the site is encrypted. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so please use a strong, unique password and never share your login.
9. Children
The Course is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
10. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above will always reflect the current version.
